Career
Anshul started his cricketing journey from the age of 15. He played for Haryana in ‘Vijay Merchant Trophy’ and later he expanded his skills in domestic cricket including Vijay Hazare Trophy and Ranji Trophy.
In 2019, Anshul played for the U-19 Indian team in 2 test matches against South Africa. After that he received training by V.V.S Laxman through a training program organised in National Cricket Academy of Bengaluru.
In 2022, Anshul made his first-class cricket debut for Haryana against Tripura in ‘Ranji Trophy 2022-23’. In a total of 19 first-class matches, Anshul took 57 wickets at the strike rate of 46.9 with 2 5-wicket hauls and a 10-wicket haul. He’s not popular for his batting, his highest score while batting is 46 runs.
In Vijay Hazare Trophy 2024, Anshul Took 17 wickets in 10 matches and led Haryana in winning the Title.
After his exceptional bowling performance in Vijay Hazare Trophy. Mumbai bought in for IPL 2024, but he played only 3 matches and took 2 wickets.
Anshul Kamboj Took A 10 Wicket Haul In Ranji Trophy 2024-25
On 13 November, 2024 Anshul Kamboj set a new record by taking all 10 wickets in an inning. In the match against Kerala, Anshul outplayed every Kerala’s batter and only conceded 49 runs. He was the first in the last 39 years of the history of Ranji Trophy to claim all the 10 wickets in an inning.
Anshul Kamboj In CSK For IPL 2025
For Anshul’s enormous performance he got everyone’s attention at IPL Mega Auction 2025. Teams have been in a bid war for a long time to include Anshul Kaboj in their squad. And in the end ‘Chennai Super Kings’ won the bid at ₹ 3.4 Crore. In the absence of Deepak Chahar, Anshul can be the face of Chennai’s new pace attack.
