Arzan Nagwaswalla is an Indian Left-arm fast bowler from Gujrat. He’s been playing for Gujarat in first class cricket from 2018. Arzan got lots of attention because of his performance in a match against Andhra Pradesh in ‘Ranji Trophy 2024-25’. And the surprising part is that he is getting all of the praises for his batting performance in the match. However he also took a 4-wicket haul to bring victory to the time. Arzan was born in the October month of 1997. So as per his date of birth he is currently 27 years old. He is currently in his late 20’s which makes him experienced enough to understand the different game situations. And Arzan Nagwaswalla stands 5 feet 9 inches in height. Arzan Nagwaswalla belongs to a Parsi family of Surat, Gujrat. After his birth his family shifted to Nargol village situated near the border of Maharashtra. Later he met with a few Ranji players who helped him to develop his cricketing skills and interest in professional cricket.
Career
Arzan Nagwaswalla haven’t debuted in Internal cricket till now. He was named for India’s squad for ‘ICC World Test Championship 2019-21’. But he didn’t get selected in the playing IX. However, Arzan hasn’t played any International matches. But his performance in domestic cricket is exceptional.
In 2018, On February 11 Arzan made his list A cricket debut for Gujarat in ‘Vijay Hazare Trophy 2017-18’.
The same year Arzan made his first-class cricket debut on 1 November for Gujarat in ‘Ranji Trophy 2018-19’. In his first-class cricket career he picked 62 wickets in 16 matches. One of his best performances comes from Ranji Trophy 2019-20. He picked 41 wickets in 9 matches of the tournament and led Gujarat into the semi-finals. He was the top wicket taker of Gujarat for the season. In his debut season Arzan took 5 wickets while conceding 78 runs against Mumbai. He broke through the defence of Mumbai and dismissed their 3 wickets at the score of 74 runs.
In the ongoing Ranji Trophy 2024-25, Arzan won the match for Gujarat against Andhra Pradesh. While batting first Gujrat suffered to get runs and continuously losing the wickets. Then Arzan came to bat as tail ender and played an unbelievable knock of 82* not out. He also took a 4-wicket haul to break down Andhra’s innings. And Gujarat got 144 runs to chase, and again Arzan saved Gujarat from losing the match. And Gujarat won the match by 1 wicket.
