Syed Mustaq Ali Trophy is a domestic T20 tournament of India, Named after former Indian test legend ‘Syed Mushtaq Ali’. The teams which participate in Ranji Trophy are eligible to participate in Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy. The First edition of the trophy was played in 2006-07, where the final was played between Tamil Nadu and Punjab. Tamil Nadu lifted the first title of the trophy under ‘Dinesh Kartik’ captaincy.
