From the 1st standard Titas started swimming and she continued it till 7th standard. She use to table tennis but as she grew up, Titas gained interest in cricket and then she joined Rajendra Smriti Sangh cricket club in Chinsura, At the age of 13 Titas face her trials for the Best Bengal team but unfortunately she got rejected. She also wanted to try in the next year but she missed the trials because of her 10th board exams.
Titas Sadhu’s Professional Career
In 2020, Titas got the chance to play for the Bengal women’s team. She made her domestic debut at the age of 16. Which made her the youngest player to play for Bengal. But she fail to perform in the first 2 matches and she was dropped from the team.
In 2022, She made a comeback in Bengal’s team for the Women’s T20 tournament. In 5 matches Titas took 7 wickets and became the highest wicket taker for Bengal. And after her performance in the T20 tournament she got selected for the Bengal’s senior team.
Year 2023, Titas was selected India’s under-19 squad for ICC Women’s U-19 World Cup. In the 6 matches of the tournament she took 6 wickets. In the final match against England, Titas helped India to get early break-throughs and contributed to India’s win. And for her exceptional performance in the final she got [player of the match award.
In September, 2023, Titas debuted for India’s senior team for Asian Games 2023. She only played 2 matches and took 4 wickets. In the final against Sri Lanka she dismissed 3 batters and India successfully claimed the Gold Medal. Her best figure came in the series against Australia. She took 4 wickets while conceding 17 runs only.
